'The Fantastic Four: First Steps' World Premiere Will Livestream on Disney+ Tonight

The next chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will unfold on July 25, when The Fantastic Four: First Steps hits theaters.

Directed by Matt Shakman, the film will introduce Marvel’s First Family to the MCU, telling a story that will have lasting implications for the franchise’s future as a whole.

“Set against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ introduces Marvel’s First Family—Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ben Grimm/The Thing as they face their most daunting challenge yet,” the film’s synopsis reads.

“Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer (Julia Garner). And if Galactus’ plan to devour the entire planet and everyone on it weren’t bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal.”

The World Premiere Will Livestream on Disney+

As is tradition, Disney will be holding a “blue carpet” for the film’s premiere tonight. This time, however, fans will be able to watch from home!

The premiere of The Fantastic Four: First Steps will livestream on Disney+ at 7 PM PT, marking a first for Disney’s flagship streaming service.

During the event, viewers will have the opportunity to see interviews with Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn.

Also on hand for the premiere will be stars Ralph Ineson, Julia Garner, Natasha Lyonne, director Matt Shakman, producer Kevin Feige, and executive producers Louis D’Esposito, Grant Curtis, and Tim Lewis. Finally, composer Michael Giacchino will also be there.
