Horimiya’s HERO Launches New Manga – News

Koe no Furu Heya launches July 28

This year’s 34th issue of Shogakukan‘s Weekly Big Comic Spirits magazine announced on Friday Horimiya creator HERO will launch a new series with artist Takahashi Tsutsuji titled Koe no Furu Heya (The Room of Fallen Voices) in the next issue on July 28.

The story follows an illustrator who receives a sudden message from an old high school classmate about a stalker.

HERO and Imaru Adachi launched a three-chapter one-shot manga titled Terasu Hikari wa Ani no Omokage (The Light that Shines on Me is My Brother’s Face) in Shogakukan‘s Weekly Big Comic Spirits magazine in June 2024.

Daisuke Hagiwara launched the Horimiya manga in Square Enix‘s Monthly G Fantasy magazine in 2011 as an adaptation of HERO‘s Hori-san to Miyamura-kun four-panel school comedy manga, and ended it in March 2021. HERO supervised the manga. Square Enix published the 17th and final compiled book volume of the manga in July 2023. Yen Press published the 17th volume in October 2024.

The manga inspired a television anime that premiered in Japan in February 2021. Funimation streamed the anime as it aired, and it also streamed an English dub. The Horimiya: The Missing Pieces anime then debuted in July 2023 and had 13 episodes. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired.
