Disney Closes Out CineEurope By Showcasing Its Impressive Slate of Upcoming Films

Walt Disney Company

Walt Disney Studios was the final major studio to present at CineEurope, and as expected, they concluded the proceedings with a bang.

Riding high after the historic success of Lilo & Stitch, Disney’s new Head of Theatrical Distribution, Andrew Cripps, oversaw the proceedings, which gave those in attendance a preview of the studio’s upcoming slate of films.

Next, Searchlight shared a sizzle reel from Ready or Not 2 before pivoting to the Brendan Fraser-led Rental Family and Benedict Cumberbatch’s The Rise.

Then, it was Jon Favreau’s turn to appear via video, sharing a sizzle reel for The Mandalorian and Grogu, which will hit theaters next May.

James Cameron and ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’

Finally, it was James Cameron’s time to shine.

Cameron appeared via video from New Zealand to preview footage of Avatar: Fire and Ash. In his message, he promised audiences that they would see “a side of Pandora you didn’t know existed.”

Then, he paid tribute to his longtime collaborator Jon Landau, who passed away last year.
